New STRUT Launchport iPad Charging System Another High-Tech Industry for Liberty Coach
When it comes to cutting edge electronics in the luxury RV field, leave it to Liberty Coach to lead the way.
The company, whose long list of “industry-firsts” include Crestron systems and iPhone and iPad remote control capabilities, announced the addition of ultra-exclusive STRUT Launchport iPad charging stations to the standard features included on all Liberty Coaches.
“This is a truly innovative accessory that combines the practical convenience of LaunchPort’s proprietary wireless iPad charging technology with the timeless quality and elegant finishes of a luxury product worthy of the STRUT name,” said Simon Trumper Chief Operating Officer for the San Clemente-based firm, which enjoys an elite reputation among the world’s most discriminating automotive afficionados.
STRUT LaunchPort. “Through the design and development of our luxury automotive grilles, wheels and accessories, we’ve gained a thorough understanding of what the luxury consumer desires. These new iPad products precisely address that demand.”
While the new iPad charging stations have been received enthusiastically by owners and customizers of private yachts and aircraft, Liberty Coach is the first Prevost coach convertor – and in fact, the first automotive company of any kind – to incorporate the units in their vehicle designs. Which should surprise absolutely no one, considering Liberty’s long track record of innovative leadership in the motorcoach conversion business.
“This is exactly the kind of new feature we look for,” said Frank Konigseder, Jr., one of Liberty’s managing partners. “The technology is cutting edge. The design is beautiful. And the benefit to the coach owner is clear.”
Liberty’s Launchport system includes a pair of wireless charging pedestals – one tabletop, one wall-mounted – and matching protective iPad protective cases. The case attaches to the pedestal via strong neodymium magnets that provide a secure mounting solution, even if accidentally bumped or knocked; charging begins as soon as the unit is docked, eliminating the need for external cables.
True to STRUT’s luxury automotive heritage, the charging pedestals are hand-crafted from jewelry grade stainless steel and are triple chrome-plated, while the cases are available in a choice of designer finishes.
Konigseder said that the new iPad system was unveiled in Liberty Coach No. 782, a new 2015 Elegant Lady model that was completed in late July. It will be standard equipment on all new Liberty coaches going forward, he added.
